My name is Scott Wilson. I grew up in Zanesville Ohio where I learned the basics of woodworking from my father and my high school industrial arts teacher. After College I moved to Atlanta.  My wife and I have been married for over 20 year and we have two kids. My professional career has involved hardwoods in some fashion. I was a buyer for a custom millwork company, sold hardwood and cabinetry supplies and for the last 12 years I have been the general manager of Georgia Hardwoods Inc. where we manufacture custom cabinet doors and distribute hardwood plywood and lumber. Check us out www.gahwd.com.  I go to work every day surrounded by millions of dollars of hardwood inventory and over 100,000 square feet of shop space filled with high tech CNC machinery. At home I have a nicely equipped 1,500 square foot shop where I get to do all sorts of fun projects. On the side I do some commission furniture or millwork projects. What I enjoy most is the challenge of designing and building unique projects. Wood turning is a great outlet for creativity and to showcase the natural beauty of God’s creations in wood.

My little pooky.  She wanders into the shop somtimes and makes stuff out of scaps.  She assembled this bird house and  picked the paint (no question that it would be anything other than  pink).  She wore ear protection because painting a birdhouse can be loud.
